Hints & Tips
  • As your garment is ruined it is probably worth the risk, but before use you must carefully follow the colourfastness test below to prevent irreversible damage.
  • This product is suitable for use on white and colourfast coloured or patterned fabrics, therefore you must test all colours, patterns and fabrics for colourfastness to this product as follows:
    • Carefully cut open sachet. Dissolve ½ teaspoonful of powder in 100ml of hot water. Thoroughly moisten an inconspicuous area of the fabric with the solution. Let area dry completely (min 1 hour). If original colour or pattern of test area remains unchanged, proceed with full treatment following the instructions on the reverse of the pack.
Directions for soaking
  • After completing a colourfastness test, carefully cut open 1 sachet and stir the contents into 8-20 litres of hot water in a plastic container. Ensure the powder is completely dissolved.
  • Add the discoloured items, ensuring they are fully immersed, then cover the container. Leave to soak for several hours. Stir occasionally.
  • Remove the items wearing rubber gloves, rinse thoroughly, then wash with detergent as normal.
Directions for machine washing
  • After completing a colourfastness test, carefully cut open 2 sachets and empty into a dry detergent ball. Place upright on top of wash load and start main wash cycle. If no detergent ball is available, sprinkle contents into machine's empty drum. Add wash load and commence main wash cycle - never use time delay. Do not use detergent.
  • Set programme to normal fabric wash temperature. Best results are achieved at minimum 60ºC temperature. Do not use economy cycle (full water load only) and do not pre-wash.
  • On completion of cycle, re-wash with detergent.
Important information
  • Always follow the instructions on the garment's wash care label.
  • Always check your washing machine manufacturer's handbook.
  • Not effective on Nylon or Lycra.
  • Ensure garments are free from all detergent residues before proceeding.
  • Only use in a well ventilated area. Avoid breathing fumes. Take care if suffering from asthma, bronchitis or allergies which affect breathing.
  • Do not overload machine (maximum 3kg of dry washing).
  • Do not leave detergent ball in tumble dry cycle of washer/dryers.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
